Native Pollinators Commonly Found in Blueberries

Simply observing pollinators can be useful in determining the number of pollinators in your field, but individual species can be extremely difficult to identify. To get an idea of the kinds of pollinators present in your field, it is better to generalize their features using categories such as: "honey bee", "bumble bee" (bombus), and "other wild pollinator".

Below are some of the commonly found native pollinators found during our study in Northwest blueberry fields.

yellow bee Yellow-faced Bumble Bee

mixtus Bombus mixtus

orange-rumped bee Orange-rumped Bumble Bee
